Their role is to make budgets and analyze it for buildings. There is a need for Project Management Professional to be in the management related roles.
This job is really different and there isn't really a debugging option and this makes you highly accountable towards the work. This also demands long shifts of work, dealing with labour class which makes it tough and challenging. The coursework isn't really helpful and the work is entirely different from what college provides.
I thought that it was only about designing buildings and structures as any Civil student would think. It was later that I explored that it is more than just buildings.
I got maximum clarity from my PS1 which was at JDA where I viewed site work for 2 months . Thus, internships give you a flavour and exposure to the work.
Start exploring this sector via internships and by actually going to sites of construction. Look for relevant online courses. If the work still fascinates you, then only proceed in this sector. Working conditions in India aren’t good at all along with the pay scales, so pursue this field only if you are immensely interested and invested.
